We interrupt today’s actual planned post for a message from Sesame Street:
Maybe if you’re a Sesame diehard, you’ve seen or heard this, but yesterday was my first. And for all I know – this has been on other blogs & I’m way behind the times. So I’m sorry if this is a repeat. But yesterday, while talking to my husband on the phone, Bee was watching her favorite show in the other room (aka Elmo – as she calls it) and I heard this song being sung. I had to tell my husband to hold on because I didn’t think I heard it right! I went out and had to watch the tail end of it. I came back in to my computer & went right to YouTube and was happy to find it. So I just had to share … since of course … that is exactly what we are all about around here. We are trying to help others love their hair … one head of hair at a time! And even though we’ve got blondies around here it doesn’t matter I just love the message of this fun video. Regardless of our hair type, our age, or our race, this simple little video sends such a great message that we all need to embrace what we are given and LOVE OUR HAIR (and ourselves!) I think girls in general struggle so much with self-esteem issues, so I think this song is just fabulous! I wish that everyone could just learn to love what God has given them.
Anyway, thanks for letting me share this with you today since I’m fighting a headache and didn’t feel like sitting very long in front of the computer today. To read more about how this song was inspired, you can can go here.
So I hope you will all take a moment today to look in the mirror and look at the beautiful person staring back at you – and have your daughter’s do the same. {HUGS to all of you!}
