This definitely is not one of our regular hair posts – which I’m sure you’ve already gathered from the name of our post! That’s me and my cute family in the picture above. They are my everything and I love them so much. Almost exactly 2 years ago I wrote a very personal post regarding something that is very near and dear to my heart. I opened up about my beliefs and that I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (aka Mormons) This is also one of those kind of posts. Sharing “personal” things besides hair tends to be a bit scary sometimes so I hope you’ll hang in there as I do so!
I feel the same as I did back when I wrote my post 2 years ago, and my testimony in what I believe grows stronger each day. Our family is currently going through some extremely hard times – especially with my husbands employment. I’m sure some of you have been there dealing with financial issues or employment issues. It causes extreme stress and hardship on a family and a marriage. But the only way I (we) have been able to get through these past many months is the knowledge that I have a Father in Heaven who knows us by name and He knows what is best for us. Going through the “refiners fire” isn’t usually easy, but I know God’s hand is in every aspect of our lives. Yours and ours. I believe in the power of prayer and I know He hears and answers us. I believe in eternal families – that things don’t just end once we die. I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t know I had a Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ who died for us. He knows what I am going through – and that brings me peace and comfort during these hard times. But the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ doesn’t only help me in my hard times. It is always there. It is part of who I am. It is why I do the things I do each day. It makes me a better mother, wife and person. It brings peace to my soul. It provides hope and happiness to our family as we live in a world that is inundated with constant chaos and confusion.
If you are wondering why the big push to find out more about “Mormons” I’d invite you to watch the video below (or click here to read ) to maybe understand a little bit more as to why we like to share our beliefs with people and not just keep them to ourselves. We are regular people like you and we are just trying to share goodness with the world. The story David A. Bednar shares about his son in the video below, is especially relative to why I’ve joined forces with all these other fabulous bloggers to try get the word out about this new film “Meet the Mormons.” (Read on to find out more about the film!)

Now … Meet THESE Mormons!
We belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints otherwise known as “The Mormons”. We are proud of this part of who we are! We are excited to team up with over 65+ of us strong… to extend an invitation to see a film. A film entitled “Meet The Mormons”. This film is not meant to be an “in your face” – you must join our church film. It is simply designed and produced to uplift and inspire you through six stories of those of our faith who have followed promptings to follow Christ more fully in their lives. We hope you take the opportunity to enjoy this film. We hope your hearts are made light as you feel the goodness that comes from following our Christ and Savior. All proceeds from the film will be donated to The American Red Cross. So not only will you be uplifted and inspired, your money will be going to an amazing charity!!
We also would like to take a moment and share our personal testimonies, stories of our own personal conversions, and our own stories of how following our Savior, Jesus Christ has changed our lives. The light of the gospel of Jesus Christ offers a joy and hope that only following him can provide. We hope as you click through and read our stories and testimonies of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, you will feel uplifted and encouraged. We are by you! We love connecting with our readers, that is why many of us do what we do! Please be kind and considerate in your comments. It takes great bravery for us to open our hearts and our mouths to share with you such a tender and personal part of who we are. We share because we feel strongly the need to share the peace and the hope that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
