As it's still hot and very much summer here at my house, the girls often want their hair up off their necks & I'm always trying new things despite their asking for "just a ponytail" a lot of the time! Sorry for another "bun" style - but here's a sure fire way to dress up a boring bun and add a bit of "art" to the style. Sorry - no step-by-step pictures on this- but it's really not a hard thing to do. Let your "inner hair-artist" shine through! ;-) Start by making a ponytail and secure it ... continue reading...

Twists & More Twists
Thanks to everyone who is playing along for "Just Wondering Wednesday!" If you don't know what I'm talking about - go HERE to find out! This hairdo is sort of a combo of several techniques - rope braids, 2 strand twists, and a turkey/ballerina bun, and it looked so cute on Bee! Part the hair down the middle and then from ear to ear. On the right side of the head make a triangular part and secure it with a rubber band to make a small ponytail. Make a rope braid/twist/corkscrew - go HERE ... continue reading...

It's that time again! Hope you enjoy these as much as I did. There are a couple in here that are just amazing - enough to make me drool! LOL Michelle sent me these pictures of her 2 dd's. She'd requested a new style for a wedding they had recently (go HERE for that flower girl hairdo) - and these were the results. So cute. I just love the one of the bride & her little girl! So sweet! They both look so beautiful! These next ones come from Leia, and her dd just recently turned 7 ... continue reading...
Loop & Twisted Bun
When I did this months ago, I had totally something else in mind when I started - but it wasn't happenin'. I hate it when that happens. So this is what we ended up with! We started with towel dried hair after her shower. So it wasn't dripping wet, but it was still quiet damp. Make a ponytail & secure with a rubber band. Then take a section of hair skimming it off the top of the ponytail. Make a loop with it & secure it with a couple of bobby pins. (Sorry the next few pix are ... continue reading...
Alice in Wonderland Hairstyle #3
Here we are again with our next installment of Alice Hairdo's. I hope you aren't bored of this yet - cuz I'm not! I actually attempted this one in 2 different ways - once on Bug, and then the other day on Goose. I watched the trailer over and over weeks ago and thought I could see how it was done - I was mainly going off this rather hard to see picture. It looks like she's kind of got a wreath around crown of her head and then curls hanging down in back. So this was my result on Bug when I ... continue reading...
Twisted Flower Girl Hairstyle
This hairdo comes as a request from a reader - Jennifer H., who's little girl is to be a flower girl this week at a wedding. She requested the hair be mostly down, and since she has a harder time w/french braiding and such asked for it to be without any of those - and since her dd's hair is a beautiful red, she wanted it to stand out against the ivory dress she'll be wearing. I hope this works for you. I always worry about doing "requests" - so I'm sorry if you don't like this! I was working ... continue reading...
