Hopefully you are all pretty much ready for Halloween since it’s just a few days away. Thankfully I am, but for some reason I am feeling a bit stressed about it this year. I don’t know why but I just am! Just a reminder that if you still need a last minute hair idea – you can go HERE to see the ones we’ve got!
I don’t know that I’ve ever posted anything using one of these darling beanie hats – but lately this beanie from All Things Ribbon has been a fav at our house. Goose’s head is way too big for it, so it’s usually Bug and Bee that are in competition for it! It’s great on those school mornings when we’re in a hurry or need to cover up an “oops!” But they are also just so stinking cute that we use them even when that’s not the case!
If you don’t own one of these – you can get them from All Things Ribbon or a lot of the other hair accessory places I have listed under my tab at the top of my site. I think you can even get them at places like Target and stuff now too. They are lots of fun & with the weather getting a bit colder they are great for the Fall weather.
This is what we recently did on Bee & it really is a piece of cake. Part the hair to make 2 Pocahontas braids. I promise her part is pretty straight, but that neat seam on her hoody certainly makes it look like it’s not!
Put your beanie hat on.
Find a hole that is just above the braid –
Flip the braid up and through that hole. Pull it through just enough that the “tail” doesn’t stick straight up. I curled the ends slightly with my little curling iron too. Our beanie is snug enough that the braid will stay like this. If you feel like it’s going to slide back through, you could certainly tie a cute ribbon through and tie a bow or hide a few bobby pins in there to hold the braid in place.
Add a fun bow/flower up front and you are good to go! This fun one is also from All Things Ribbon. If I haven’t said it before – we just LOVE All Things Ribbon!
Here are all the different views:
She just all smiles when she gets to wear this beanie! Especially when she “wins” and Bug doesn’t get to wear it! Ahh, gotta love sibling rivalry!
Oh — and I almost forgot ….
Bee says “Boo and Happy Halloween!”
