We just love the half-French braids, or I guess they are also called 1 sided French braids. Ever since we did our Lauren Conrad inspired hairstyle – the Half French Braid Wrapped Ponytail, we’ve had fun trying other styles with this braid.
Since Goose has such long hair these days, we thought we’d add not just 1, but 2 of these pretty braids on the right side of her head. I probably could have added a 3rd, but didn’t have enough time.
Step 1: Start French braid
Starting at the crown, start to plait a braid. Only add hair to the top side of the braid and carefully plait the braid with the curve of the head. Don’t pull hair in too tight from the top or it won’t lay as well. Refer back to our last post where we did this braid, if you’re unsure how to do it.
Step 2: Secure the braid
Braid down as far as you want and secure the end with a rubber band.
Step 3: Start a 2nd braid
You can start this anywhere below the first braid, but if it’s really close, it makes it tricky to grab hair to add to your braid.
Step 4: Secure the braid
Tie the braid off with another rubber band. You could make this one shorter than the first if you wish.
Step 5 (optional): Curl the hair
Here are pictures of the finished style. It looked pretty with just a few random pieces curled and the rest straight.
I tried to keep them even where I stopped adding hair as well as how far I braided to the end. You could make them uneven as well if you want.
If you have a hard time French braiding, these one sided ones are a bit easier to handle because you’re dealing with less hair. One of our favorite 1 sided French braids is this style that was like a French Braid “crown” we did on Bug forever ago where you add hair from the bottom instead of the top. There are so many options with these.

Can u plz also show me the pic of one side double french braid?

I’m not sure what you’re asking for! Do you mean the other side of her head, or a hairstyle with just one of those one sided French braids? Sorry I don’t understand.
