I’m sorry for the delay in getting back into posting. It was my honey’s birthday this week, and just getting back into the swing of school, etc. after the holiday’s has slowed my computer activities way down! This isn’t what I’d planned on posting – especially since the pictures aren’t that great, but it’s been one sitting in my box for a few months and so I wanted to get it posted.
This one is basically a combo of 2 of my more recent hair do’s — When you cross this hairstyle:
With this hairstyle:You get this hairstyle – The Rope Braid/ Turkey Bun Combo:
On the rope/twist braids – refer back to this post – but instead of doing 4 rope/twist braids down each side – I only did 2. I have a total of 4 twists – 2 on each side. (instead of a total of 8 rope/twist braids) Then I twisted the remaining hair all the way down to the ends – joining them back into the ponytail at the back of her head. Hopefully it’s rather self explanatory.
In the next pic you can see how I only took 2 sections and did the rope/twist braids.Once you’ve got the rope/twist braids done join them in the back with the remaining hair & make a ponytail. I did a rope/twist braid in the ponytail itself and then made a bun. And then for the bun – I did it like this from my Thanksgiving turkey bun post. Here’s a few views from the sides:
Sorry this one’s a bit blurry. As you can see the lovely carton of milk in the background – she was eating her breakfast before church & we were totally going to be late so I hurried and snapped a few pictures – hence the blurriness! Sorry.
That’s it. It really looked great I thought – almost sophisticated, if you will . . . cuz I know you all want your little DD’s to look sophisticated, right?! 🙂 ha ha ha Anyway, hopefully you enjoy this one.
