First off – I have picked a new winner for our 3rd Disney on Ice giveaway since I unfortunately never did hear back from our first winner. So head over HERE to see if it is you.
So those of you that wondered what our secret is based off our post – NO I am not pregnant, and yes, someone did get a haircut (obviously!) Bug did. Since it wasn’t just a trim – it was a major haircut it was a BIG deal to us and so I put together a video sort of highlighting the whole event. I thought it’d be fun for her to look back on someday because I think it is a very brave & noble thing to do. This really means a lot to me because, among many other trials going on in my life, this last month I lost my aunt. She had cancer. And bless her heart, Bug had the hope that her pony tail could go to my aunt to help with her hair loss. Just thinking about that makes me cry. Anyway, obviously her hair can’t help my aunt, but I’m thankful that she has a big enough heart to donate it so that it will help some other kiddo out there. So if you or one of your daughters ever wants to get a haircut that isn’t just a small one you can get more information about Locks of Love by clicking here.
I’m excited to now have a “short haired” kiddo again. It’s been ages! We’ve been having so much fun playing around with different things and look forward to sharing some of them as time goes on! Thanks for watching and hope you have a great day!

Thanks! It’s crazy how fast her hair has been growing though. Hard to think it’s been about 2 years since she cut it.

Hi,
My six year old did Locks of Love before Thanksgiving. She cut 10 inches off and now has a swing bob, the longest part is to her shoulders in the front. She has her first daddy daughter dance coming up and I am looking for a cute hairstyle for her to wear. Any ideas?
The Mom says
What a wonderful and brave thing she did. What a sweet girl you have! My thought would be to do some sort of pretty braid with the longer hair in front & pull them back and secure them together in the back. Or maybe a waterfall braid or twist. Add some pretty curls and a fun accessory to match her dress & she’d look so cute!
