First off, thank you to everyone who sent us e-mails, comments and private messages via social media in response to last week’s post. Everyone’s support and kind words are appreciated so much. Thank you! So … I know I usually post on Tuesday’s, but life and it’s craziness keeps getting the best of me, not to mention my computer was giving me issues — so here I am – a day late, but better late than never, right?! Plus, the girl’s last day of school is Friday and I can hardly wait.
Our style today isn’t anything hard, which is perfect for a summer style. This would also be awesome for sports to keep the hair out of the way, or on a real windy day this would be the perfect style. It looks so cool but is so easy — plus there are 2 different ways you can wear it, which is even better! 🙂

Step 1 – Part hair off center back to the crown, then down to the ear on the left side of the head
Step 2 – Create an uneven 3 strand braid with that hair & temporarily secure the end

Step 3 – Gather remaining hair in back into a ponytail and secure with a ponytail holder
Step 4 – Add uneven 3 strand braid to ponytail and secure with a clear elastic
Step 5 – Divide ponytail into 3 even sections
Step 6 – With each section, make an uneven 3 strand braid & temporarily secure the ends with a clip
Step 7 – Once you have 3 braids in the ponytail, create a regular braid with them
Step 8 – Braid the uneven 3 strand braids until you run out of hair and secure the end with a clear elastic so it looks like this:
Step 9 – Adjust edges of braid as needed and spray with hairspray if desired
FINISHED!

Bonus Style:
Optional- Step 10 – Wind elaborate looking braid into a bun and secure with bobby pins as needed
So which way do you prefer this style? Down in a ponytail, or up into a bun? It was hard capturing the intricate look of the bun since her hair is darker. It looked cool both ways, but she preferred it down in the ponytail.
