Sorry for the delay in getting anything new posted. We are in the final stages of our basement being done & my husband had the whole week off so we’ve been busy painting and all that fun, so things have been plain crazy. So since it was longer than I’d hoped in between this & my last post, you get 3 in 1 in today’s post for darling little baby hair! These could, of course, be done with an older DD as well!
The other day I suddenly realized that Bee had a bit more hair than I remember her having (yeah I know – real observant mom!), so I thought we’d branch out a bit and try some other stuff.
I started by parting her hair down the middle and then making 2 ponytails. Then I joined them in the center making them into a Y shape.
I initially was going to stop there, but since she was playing with a bunch of dress up jewelry and seemed content I thought I’d go further, since she suddenly had this nice long ponytail (relative to baby hair) that I could do something else with!
So technically – here is hairdo #1:
But since I decided to take it further I wondered if I might could do a bit of the Peacock Tail that I’d done on Goose a while back. Go here if you can’t remember what that one was about. So I simply took 4 sections and tied them in the loose knots and clipped them up with baby alligator clips. Here’s a close up of it. As soon as I got into this one it was obvious that my judgment had been a bit off with her holding still and so once she sat in front of the computer I was able to get a few better shots!
So here is #2 – Baby Peacock Tail:
It was at this point that I realized it was almost nap time, and there was no way she would sleep with those on the back of her head, so I pulled the clips out and went hmmm…
So I then just twisted the entire pony tail on the back of her head into a little bun (I think I really only wrapped it one time around) and let the little wispy hairs spray out the bottom of the bun and then anchored it with a bobby pin.
I think with the bun in the middle and the hair pulled from the sides it almost looks like a bow & the bun is the knot in the center! Either way, it really looked cute, so that was the final look of the day on this do!
So here is #3 – Ponies into a wispy bun:
And most importantly the cute chubby cheeks to go along with the cute hair … and her fist full of the “treasured” dress up jewelry!
P.S. Still working on the “fancy schmancy princess” redo pictures – so stay tuned!
