You may remember me posting about this last year, but I was invited again by My Craft Channel to join about 100 other bloggers for a fun night at Gardner Village here in Utah. You’re always going to have a great time just going to Gardner Village, but add bloggers to the mix & it’s even better!
We were privileged to hear from Eric Dowdle, the fabulous folk artist that paints and turns his art into puzzles. He was so entertaining and very inspiring. Eric recently created a new puzzle based off of Gardner Village’s “Witch Fest” and we were lucky enough to get a signed puzzle in our swag bags. My girls had a blast putting it together because we love to go every October.
And of course, the night wouldn’t have been complete without the crazy witch Lucinda. She’s a riot and had us in stitches all night. Here she is posing with Eric Dowdle’s painting of Gardner Village’s Witch Fest. That is what our puzzles were made from. Lucinda kept calling us “Froggers” instead of “bloggers” and had a live frog in a container that she tried to get some of us to kiss. I pet the little guy, but didn’t attempt a kiss since I’ve already found my prince! 🙂
The night not only included listening to Eric Dowdle, but getting to hang out with a bunch of talented bloggers, visiting all the fabulous shops at Gardner Village and getting some fabulous swag, prizes and great food. Here’s a fun video My Craft Channel put together from our evening. They caught me putting my name tag on at the very beginning of the video (as pictured below with my head missing!) so there’s my claim to fame for this video! haha
And here’s a few other fun shots from around Gardner Village that my cute friend Amy from The Happy Scraps took for me. We had fun perusing the cute shops at Gardner Village, watching the Witches Fashion Show and enjoying some tasty hot chocolate and treats from their bakery. It was a fun filled night & I’m so glad I got to be part of the festivities.
Here’s me and the hilarious Lucinda. The lightening wasn’t great where we were & these pictures are with my cell phone, so this one was a bit better in black & white!
I even found myself a new friend while I was shopping! 🙂 If you’re local, or are in Utah, you don’t want to miss visiting Gardner Village. There’s something there for everyone!
