I'm sorry for the delay in getting back into posting. It was my honey's birthday this week, and just getting back into the swing of school, etc. after the holiday's has slowed my computer activities way down! This isn't what I'd planned on posting - especially since the pictures aren't that great, but it's been one sitting in my box for a few months and so I wanted to get it posted. This one is basically a combo of 2 of my more recent hair do's -- When you cross this hairstyle: With this ... continue reading...

4 Rope Braid Twisted Hairstyle
I'd had Bug's hair in a loose braid the day before, so we just went with her hair as is to start this one. Part the entire head of hair down the middle - from front to back. Notice Bug's waves in the right side of her hair. That's not from her prior day's hair - it drives me crazy, because it makes my parts not look straight and things don't lay as good as I'd like them sometimes when I deal with that section of her hair. Anyway - part the hair and then clip off the one side to keep it ... continue reading...
Baby Rope Braid into Baby Pony
Just be forewarned that this was a "not wanting to sit still day" and so these are not the best of pictures. I've done this on Bee so many times lately, and the one day I finally decide to take pictures she's got ants in her pants (or maybe bees!) Nothing overly new here, but a nice & easy one that I think looks cuter than just a pony on top. Part the top section of hair about 1/3 of the way back. Make a ponytail and tie it off with an elastic. You don't have to do this, but I ... continue reading...
Rope Braid Wrapped Ponytail
This one is pretty straight forward - or at least I hope it is, because I forgot to take the step by step pictures on this one. But I really liked how it turned out. Begin by making a side part. I do mine on the right side. Then from that side part, make another part down to each ear. (Ignore my nice little hiccup on my left side part!) With those 2 side sections of hair, make a rope/twist braid and twist it as far down to the end as you possibly can. And remember, damp hair makes these ... continue reading...
Rope Twist Hawser Braid Pullback
Well, summer is officially over. School started here today (I'll be sharing pix on social media, and will post them next week here on the blog) and as always I have mixed feelings about it! I love having my kids home - they are such good girl's so I don't mind having them home for the most part! But it's always good to get back to a routine and all that fun too. I just don't love the extra early mornings! The style we have today for you would be great for a school day, so add this to your ... continue reading...
French Rope Twist and Braid
I'm loving this hairstyle today because it combines two of my favorite techniques -- braids and rope twists/braids. It's really an ageless style and can be worn by a little girl or a mom so it's great that way too! This is one "Goose" started doing on herself first because she didn't feel like her rope braid stayed twisted as much as she would have liked. So she started finishing the style off with a regular braid instead of continuing a rope braid/twist at the end. So if you have trouble ... continue reading...
