Vertical American Flag Hairstyle
This next one is a fun one that you could change up and use red, white & blue ribbons for this same fun look in any cute bun or updo.
Simple Patriotic Style
This was our biggie a while back where we wove ribbon through 4 strand braids. But you could simply do regular braids and then wrap ribbon around them for a similar look.
American Flag Hairstyle
And another simple but fun one using hair coils wrapped around twisted hair and adding a cute bow on her ponytail.
Another Simple Patriotic Style
Speaking of wrapping hair in ribbon, this cute star hairstyle can be found over on Girly Do’s.
4th of July Star Hairstyle
Or if you are looking for a little simpler star, try this one from Princess Hairstyles. It could be done on a toddler or even a baby.
Ribbon Star Hairstyle
And as long as we’re on the theme of stars, this cute braided star could have ribbon added or any fun accessory to make it even more festive!
The 4th of July Star
And how about just dressing up a fun braided updo with cute wire & foil stars that can be found in craft stores at this time of year. So so cute.
4th of July Fancy Hair
Or how about Bantu Knots and colorful pipe cleaner to liven things up? How fun is this one?
The Firework
So now that we’ve hopefully given you some ideas for hairstyles … if you run out of time to do a fun style, check out some of these cute accessories to make your hair even more patriotic.
If you aren’t crafty or don’t have the time to make your own – I found this gorgeous patriotic headband over at All Things Ribbon. She’s got a handful of other darling 4th of July flowers & bows HERE.
If you are wanting to whip up a quick 4th of July accessory check out this fun tutorial from Six Sisters’ Stuff. Best part is, if you’re not overly crafty – no sewing is required!
Tulle & Ribbon Scrap Bow
Or how about these cute felt stars. I couldn’t find the original source of these – but simply take different colors of felt and cut them into stars, attaching them onto alligator clips. These would look so cute in any hairstyle.
Or if your little one only has a little bit of hair, how about this darling headband. (Can’t find post on original site) for this headband.
Felt Star Headband
And if you really want to be a hit once it gets dark and the fireworks start, you could add glow sticks in your hair or how about these fiber optic hair extensions? You can see them and more HERE.
