Thanks so much to everyone who offered up advice & info on curl hair for Miss K. Outside of all the great product info – the idea of braiding curling hair over night is one to surely help her dad out so I’m excited to pass on all the info to him. If you think of anything else, or haven’t chimed in yet, feel free to comment on the last post HERE.
Today’s do is yet another combo-type hairstyle. I haven’t done rows of twist – or corn rows in ages. In fact I was looking through my blog & I posted these 2 summers ago on Goose. Crazy that it’s been that long.
Anyway, make 4 corn rows. I made mine on a bit of an angle – to the right. Go HERE to see how I did the twists. I thought I had a video of these but guess I don’t. I shoved the bobby pin in like I did in the 2nd video on THIS post – sticking the bottom of it in towards me and then you flip it around to push it forward away from yourself.
Once you’ve made the 4 corn rows take each of the tails of the twists in your left hand to start making a 4 strand braid. You can see all my videos for on how to make a 4 strand braid HERE.
Make a 4 strand braid until you run out of hair. Tie the end off with a clear rubber band.
I curled the ends of her hair under a bit & separated out several small sections of hair and curled them a bit as well to make it extra pretty.
Bug just lost her 1st tooth this last week – she pulled it out herself! She’s still trying to figure out how to smile so she can “show” the gap in her smile! LOL
If you’ve yet to master the 4 strand braid a quick variation of this style would be: Do 3 corn rows on top and then take the 3 tails & do a regular 3 stranded braid. Or you could even just do 2 twists and do a rope/twist braid with those two pieces. Several different options from just one style – just what I like!
