Before we get to the tutorial, I just wanted to share how excited I am for tomorrow. I’m scheduled to be on KSL TV’s “Browser 5.0” as their Blog of the Week tomorrow (9/25) at about 12:30. So if you’re local we’d love it if you tuned in and watched! Fix yourself a bite of lunch & tune in to check it out! It’ll just be me this time around chatting about our blog so it should be fun. But if you miss it or aren’t local, I’ll try get the segment posted afterward!
So, on with the hair! With the length of Goose’s hair right now, she really likes to wear it down a bit more than when it was down to her waist. But she doesn’t like her hair to be falling into her face, so this is a quick style we came up with to help combat that problem. I know you’ve probably seen girls with a section of hair braided back and then an X of bobby pins securing it to their head, right? Well, this just takes it a step further. Sometimes I get tired of seeing the bobby pin X and so we added a little “rosette” at the end to cover up that silly X!
Watch our quick video to see how we made this easy style in about 3 minutes! It’s perfect for a tween or teen, or if you’re growing bangs out and want to do something different with them!
Step 1 – Make a side part
Step 2 – Section out small area of hair by the right temple
Step 3 – Plait a regular 3 strand braid
Step 4 – Loosen braid to make it messier/flatter (optional)
Step 5 – Secure braid to the back of the head w/bobby pins (make an X)
Step 6 – Loop the tail of the braid into a small bun that covers the X
Step 7 – Secure the little bun or “rosette” w/small bobby pins to cover up that X
Step 8 – Mist with hairspray (optional)
FINISHED!
Let us know if you try this one! We’d love if you shared pictures with us on our Facebook page, or if you’re following us on Instagram be sure to tag us (@babesinhairlandblog) in your photos so we can come take a peek! And don’t forget to tune in to our TV segment tomorrow at 12:30!
