Just want you all to know that we turned our entire manuscript in to the publisher yesterday. I can’t believe it. I’m done. Well, with that part of the “book process” anyway! The plan is that the book will be available before the holidays, but I will give you an exact release date when I actually know for sure when it will be on shelves. The last several months have been crazy busy and quite an adventure but I am so glad to have finished my “dream goal” of writing a book. I’ll keep you posted on things as I find out. In the mean time I would like to introduce you to our guest blogger this week. Annette from “Tips From a Typical Mom” is here and she’s got a fabulous blog. I’m so thankful to her helping me out as I’ve been slammed with book stuff and needed a break this week!
I’m loving this hairstyle Annette is sharing with us today. Totally perfect for Goose, our oldest, who is doing her hair a lot more herself these days. It reminds me a little bit of a faux fishbone braid, but it’s even cooler than that! You could probably pancake it a bit too if you want to give it a bit messier look. LOVE it!

Hi Everyone! My name is Annette and I blog over at Tips From a Typical Mom. I’m so excited to be guest posting for Babes in Hairband today! Today I have a very simple and super fast “braid” for you or your daughters to do when you need to get your hair out of your way FAST! Like when you’re outside playing soccer or tumbling. Or when you are making dinner and you need your long hair out of the way.
It’s so fast and once you get the hang of it you’ll use it all the time. Especially because you DON’T need a pony tail holder. The braid stays in place without one. So cool!
Here is a little video so you can see how it’s done.
I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy tutorial. I’m all about quick and easy on weekday mornings! How about you?
