I’ve been meaning to post this for a while, but with craziness of the holidays and everything related to our book release I haven’t had a chance. But with Bee’s 8th birthday quickly approaching, I’ve had birthday stuff on my brain a lot more and I realized I’d yet to share this fun post with you! I’ve been so blessed to be able to do so many fun & different things due to our blog, and doing hair at little girl parties has been one of those fun things!
Just before the weather turned really cold, I was asked by the amazing Ashlee Marie if I’d come help at the Disney Royal Princess Spa Party she was throwing to celebrate the release of Sleeping Beauty: Diamond Edition (2-Disc Blu-ray + DVD). Bee and I both went and had a wonderful time! Ashlee Marie doesn’t over look any detail when she throws a party! It was seriously like I’d stepped into a magazine! After experiencing her party, I believe she just might have more talent in her pinky finger than I do my whole body!
I got to help with the “hair part” of the party (shocker I know!) Some of the cute little girls came with their hair already done & didn’t wish for me to do their hair, but others were more than happy to have me do a little something in their hair before adding their princess tiaras on top!
Bee was excited to be able to do nails, make bath salts, get her hair done, hit the piñata, eat all the amazing princess food, make some new friends and watch Sleeping Beauty on an outside movie screen at the park! The whole thing was just perfect! To see more fun pictures and for tutorials on all the fun princess food and decorations you can check out her party post HERE. And the Sleeping Beauty cake was to die for — you can check out Ashlee’s whole Sleeping Beauty Princess cake tutorial HERE. She’s also created other Princess cakes, like Elsa, Anna, Merida, Rapunzel and Tiana that you don’t want to miss either, so click on the name of the princess to go to those tutorials.
It truly was an afternoon fit for a Princess — 8 of them – to be exact!
Now I’ve got to get planning for Bee’s birthday party. She’s still trying to decide if she wants a princess themed party or since she loves Despicable Me so much, she’s also toying with the idea of a minion party. She better decide soon, because I’m running out of time to plan it! Thanks again to Ashlee Marie for inviting us to her party and for sharing all the wonderful pictures with us.
Have you ever thrown a princess party for your little girl? Was it a specific princess? What type of fun things did you do at the party? I’d love some more ideas!
