One of my favorite things to add to an otherwise simple hairstyle is micro-braids. I don't know why I love them so much but I do! This is yet another simple style - nothing too complex about it, but I love the look the micro braids give it. Step 1 - Make a ponytail Step 2 - Add ribbon I guess this step could technically be optional! Make sure the ribbon you use is a bit longer than the ponytail so you don't run out. Secure it on the under side of the ponytail. Leave just a little tail ... continue reading...

Feather Braid & Waterfall Twist
I know I usually post new tutorials on Tuesday, but things have been more than crazy around here between getting ready for the Pinners Conference & Expo this Friday (more on that in a minute) and getting Halloween costumes finished. I have less time than normal to get costumes done, as our neighborhood has a "Trunk or Treat" on Saturday which means costumes have to be done even earlier than I really have time for! So on with our tutorial today. I love, love, love this one! Did I ... continue reading...
Double Rope Braided Updo
I thought it would be fun share a few more updo's this week since the holiday's are coming and there always seems to be a party or two where you want to look extra nice! This tutorial I actually shot clear back in 2009 when Bug was only 5 years old and before she cut her hair for Locks of Love. I found this going through some old holiday photos on my computer & they'd been filed in the wrong spot! Apparently I didn't take pictures for every single step, so hopefully you get the idea. ... continue reading...
The Figure 8 Braid Video
So last week when Blogger decide to go crazy and block access to post anything (I'm in the process of changing things btw) this was what I was hoping to get posted. A while back Jenn @ Girly Do's sent me a link to THIS video. She thought it might be a fun thing to do w/my girls hair since it is so long. I'd put it on the back burner in my mind and had plans for it (more on that in a later post) but then one day I was experimenting as I often do & realized I didn't need ribbon to get the same ... continue reading...
Half-Up Daisy Chains Hairstyle
I just love when I'm "experimenting" with the girl's hair and it turns into a gorgeous hairstyle! After I showed my husband how I did this, he said, "Oh, that's a daisy chain knot." He was a boy scout once, so I'll take his word on it! When I think of a daisy chain I think of, well ... literally a chain of daisies. I picture a cute little girl with a crown of flowers around her head! This definitely creates a pretty crown on your head, but there are no daisies involved. Regardless of the ... continue reading...
Pull Apart Bun
We hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween yesterday. I know we usually post new tutorials on Tuesday's, but with Halloween being yesterday, we figured most everyone wouldn't be home! So we decided to waited a day to share this quick and easy and very cute bun! But before we share today's tutorial, here's a few pictures of Bee last night before she headed out trick-or-treating. We had planned on doing a few other things for her costume, but they didn't work out. So we were inspired by ... continue reading...
