“V” is for Violin
This is a style that probably everyone has done in some shape or form at some point in time, but you probably weren’t trying to make a letter when you did it! So despite it being very simple, we can’t leave the letter V out of our ABC hair series, now can we?!
Step 1- Part the hair
Part right down the center of the head and then down to each ear.
Step 2 – Make a ponytail
Comb the hair on the right side of your part and make a ponytail & secure it with a rubber band.
Step 3 – Repeat on the left side
Step 4 – Braid each ponytail
You can twist them if you like. Secure them temporarily on the ends with little clips.
Step 5 – Make a ponytail
With the remaining hair in back, make a low ponytail. Make sure it’s centered & secure with a rubber band.
Step 6 – Cross braids
To ensure you get a nice “point” on the V, cross the braids over each other on the top of the ponytail. Secure the braids on top of the ponytail with another rubber band.
Step 7 (optional) – Curl the ends of ponytail
Done!
Bee wanted “Teddy” to help show the sign language letter of the day!
Be sure to check out all our entire ABC hair series and keep sharing those pictures with us on our FB page!
And, you may or may not know – but today is “National Donate Your Hair Day” – and so we thought we’d share some never-before-seen pictures of Goose from when she cut her hair several years ago. She cute 12 inches off her hair just before we started our blog. We’d made a movie & took lots of pictures when Bug cut her hair last year (if you hadn’t seen those, you can check it out HERE). We donated both of the girls’ ponytails to Locks of Love and I couldn’t be more proud of them for wanting to help contribute to such a noble cause.
I can’t believe how much her hair has grown in 4 years and how small she was! It’s to her waist again and she’s been talking about cutting it off again. We’ll see if she does or not!
Have you ever donated your hair? And if so – to which cause did you donate it?
