Sorry for the delay getting this posted. Getting this video to upload and play correctly has been a nightmare (and that’s putting it lightly!) So thanks for your patience! Also, just wanted to let you know the winner for our giveaway has been announced, so after you check out our tutorial, keep scrolling to see if you are the lucky winner!
This style is one I actually did on Bug clear back when we started our blog and I’m slowly trying to go back through some of our archives and make videos for old “pic-torals.” This one is really simple, but adds so much to a regular ponytail. The best part about this style is you don’t have to worry about finding a bow or flower to match an outfit, you simply dress up the ponytail with curls! Check out our video to see how we do it.
Step 1 – Make a ponytail
Step 2 – Curl small sections of hair from the top of the ponytail
Step 3 – Mist curled sections with hairspray
Step 4 – Arrange individual curled sections on top of ponytail
Step 5 – Use bobby pins as needed to secure curls
Step 6 – Curl entire ponytail (optional)

Here’s a more close up picture to see the hair pinned up around the base of the ponytail. There isn’t an “exact” way to get it to look this way, just pin them up until you like how it looks.
Here’s a couple pictures from our old tutorial. You can see that by using a smaller curling iron & adding more curls you can get a bit of a different look. Adding “bling” also changes the look! I just noticed how much darker her hair has gotten over the past several years too!
And today’s look. Which do you like better?
And last but not least — the winner of a $50 gift card to Amazon OR Sally Beauty Supply is (drum roll please ….) Amy Fuller Poole. Please contact me a.s.a.p. and let me know which gift card you’d like and what your mailing address is.
