Double whammy today …. first – the winner of the Monster Truck Jam has been announced … so if you entered to win that … head over HERE to see if you are the lucky ducky!
And our quick & easy hairdo today is indeed a double whammy because I did it on both Goose & Bug for school recently. You’d think that they’d go to school with the same hair almost every day (just because it’d take less thought/effort and time on my part), but that actually isn’t the case. But I first did this on Goose and Bug must have really liked it because she wanted it as well. So I hurried and grabbed the camera for a few pics.
It’s really a simple thing, but just in case, here are the pics I took:
Part the hair a bit on a an angle – like a real wide V.
Then where the point of the “V” is, part down to the temple and make a twist/rope braid. Twist it all the way to the end of the hair & secure with a little clip or rubber band.
Then part out another section just behind that and make a 2nd rope/twist braid. Twist it clear to the end and also secure it.
Take the remaining hair that is down in back and bring it all smoothed back to the nape of the neck. I brought mine more to the left side of the head & had it be off-center.
Divide that hair in back into 3 sections to prepare to make a regular braid. Grab your 2 twists from up front. Add the 1st twist you made in the very front to the far left section of your braid. Then add the back twist to the middle section of your braid (that you’re getting ready to make.)
Strike a really weird hand position like this and you’re set! LOL
You’ve just got to add the twists into your braid so they smoothly lay on the hair & are incorporated into the braid nicely.
Braid down as far as you like & secure the braid with a rubber band. I’d had the twists held with little clips, so as I braided down & got to the end of the twists, I just pulled the claw clips out.
If you’ve laid the twists right, they should fall into the braid like this:
Kinda looked cool I think!
I can’t remember if we told you, or have had pictures on here or not, but Goose (obviously) got glasses recently! We knew she was smart before, but now she just looks like an extra smarty pants too!
And like I said, I did this one on Goose & Bug the same morning, and so I hurried and took a few pictures as we were running out the door. Oh, and btw – I don’t recommend hair tutorials on school mornings when it’s snowed outside & you were unaware! 🙂
