In light of the last 24 hours of drama, I hope this post will come as a welcome bit of comic relief. If you don't know what I'm talking about - it's better left that way & consider yourself lucky. Either way, this is something I have been meaning to share from the time I started blogging and I think now the timing couldn't be more perfect. Oh, by the way - I haven't heard from all the ladies who won in my last post - so if that's you & you want them, please send me your address (if ... continue reading...

Fishbone Braid Randomness
This one was definitely one of randomness & I didn't know where I was going with it. Most of the time I have a thought of where I'm taking a do when I begin, but this was one I did without knowing where it would end up. So ignore the imperfections and just "work with me here!" But first, just a reminder, if you were wanting to share any of your fun Halloween hair ideas, don't forget to send them by this Sunday 11/9 so I can get them posted shortly thereafter! I normally work with her hair ... continue reading...
Braids Braids and More Braids
Well, 13 braids to be exact -- 2 up front & 11 in back ... and 13 happens to be my lucky number, since I was married on Friday the 13th, and Goose's birthday falls on the 13th of a month in Spring. I must have been in the mood to have hair protruding from the top of her head too, because I did this a day or two after the Peacock! I've been excited to post this, because it ... continue reading...
2 Braids into 1 Hairstyle
This is a fun new spin to doing "Little House on the Prairie" braids. And it's a fabulous one for school because it is fairly quick & easy (depending on how fast you can braid!) and just a little bit different from the "norm!" The several times I've done this recently, I've had so many people stop & ask me how they were hooked together or if I'd somehow braided them together to make them look this way. There is a way to do a 5 stranded braid (or 7 strands) and because you have so much ... continue reading...
Twisted Cornrows
When I think of cornrows I think of braided rows of hair, but these are just twists in rows. I don't know if in the "official world of hair" if these can be considered cornrows, but for my purpose we will say they are! Step 1 - Begin by parting the hair into small sections. Part from the forehead backwards. I always start in the middle of the head and work my way out from there making as many as you want. Oh, and always - keep the hair damp for a smoother look - I'm all about no fly ... continue reading...
