This idea actually comes from one of my readers Raych B. so I've got her to thank for getting the wheels turning in my head for this style! As the title says - this is for any age -- I'd say especially tween clear to adult. I guess, obviously though, you've got to have enough hair to braid & have it reach across your head! Make a part from ear to ear & then one on top of the head. Standard for us - it is off center on the right. On the right side of the head section off hair by the ... continue reading...

Our Try at Tween Braids
If you remember, back at the beginning of December, my sister-in-law shared a fabulous style with us that I dubbed "Tween Braids." If you missed it - go HERE for the tutorial on it. So yes, I know Bee isn't a tween, and I've actually done this do on the other girls, but always forgotten to take pictures - but I loved this one especially on Bee when I did it just half way down and joined them in back. It just looked so sweet on her! So of course, I had to share! We got her all "guzzied" up for ... continue reading...
Rolled Up Braid
First off -- just to let you know the next set of trivia questions have been posted over HERE for your chance to win the 3rd set of Disney on Ice tickets. If you're interested head on over! As I briefly mentioned yesterday, this is an idea that Goose came up with. I've got to admit, there are days when I get an idea for a style & I'm bouncing off the walls to try it out & I can't because the girls are at school. On days like that I feel like I'll go crazy if I can't get my hands on some ... continue reading...

First off - the winner of our 1st circus ticket giveaway has been announced. Head over HERE to see the awesome pictures of our winner. Talk about creative & thinking outside the box! :-) As far as our hairdo today, this is a fairly quick one, especially if you've mastered the 4 strand braid. If you haven't yet - you can check out my videos HERE. I've got to combine all of the videos one of these days! This starts out like THIS old hairdo but finishes in a 4 strand braid. Part the hair from ... continue reading...
Tween “Pocahontas” Braids
Although Goose loves regular Pocahontas braids, I saw this in some random magazine a while back that I thumbed through while waiting for my hair to be cut. It described the style as a more "mature" look to those type of braids or pigtails. It's quick & easy and I thought it was a fun spin off of regular ol' braids! Part the hair from front to back - however you wish. I did an off center part on the right side up front, and then a zig-zag down the back. Make a basic braid - I started a ... continue reading...
Fun & Funky Braids for Summer
I'm sorry that I didn't get anything posted for "Just Wondering Wednesday" yesterday. Bug has been having some health concerns recently and we've been spending time at ER's and such lately, and so if posts are a bit hit & miss for a while - chances are that's why. But lucky for you - at least I'd like to think it's lucky for you ;-) ...... blogging, for me, is a bit therapeutic and so here I am! This is actually a style I did clear back in September of last year and totally had forgotten ... continue reading...
