Last year we came up with this fun double heart hairstyle and thought we'd make a video since it's just a great style for Valentine's Day. We did it just a little different this year and instead of making the braids all about the same thickness, we made one heart thicker, and one heart thinner. Hopefully since Valentine's Day isn't for a couple weeks, this will give you a little time to "test" it out beforehand if you need! The one above is with a smaller braid on the outside, the picture ... continue reading...

Crimped Knotted Braid Pullback
I've got to admit I've had a bit of fun since I pulled out my old crimper and added some cute crimped texture to Goose's braids & messy bun in this recent post. This style is basically the same as our Knotted Braid Pullback, but we added the crimping to change it up a little. I actually wanted to experiment with the crimping and see how the braids would differ if I crimped the hair before I braided her hair, as well as after I braided it. So here are my results! Step 1 - Make zig zag ... continue reading...
Ponytails and Braids
This fun and easy style is courtesy of my sister and her cute little girl Miss L. She sent me a few pictures a couple months back on my cell and I finally got around to recreating it. This would be an awesome style for swimming or camping, because it keeps all the hair back & contained. And the waves created after you pull the style out are fabulous as well! Step 1 - Part the hair & make a ponytail Make a part right down the middle of the head - but not too far back. Then section ... continue reading...
Ponies and a Diagonal Braid
Happy 24th of July to all my local readers! Hope you have a fun filled day! I've recently been put in charge of the menu & purchasing of all the food, for a camping trip/pioneer trek that our youth at church are going on. Buying food for 350 people means a lot of trips to the store! I spotted this hairstyle on a girl a couple weeks ago while I was out shopping. I didn't get a total up close look - so she might have had corn rows up front - but either way it was kind of a fun style and ... continue reading...
Braid Wrapped Ponytail
This is another version of the French Braid into a Braided Ponytail that I posted yesterday. It's basically just the complete opposite (you've got 2 braids to wrap instead of one - and minus the French!) Once again, this isn't anything too difficult and you can change it up by making rope braids, or uneven 3 strand braids to start with & you'll also get a very pretty result. I didn't take step-by-step pictures, as this is fairly self-explanatory. You can refer back to yesterday's post if ... continue reading...
Double 1 Sided French Braids
We just love the half-French braids, or I guess they are also called 1 sided French braids. Ever since we did our Lauren Conrad inspired hairstyle - the Half French Braid Wrapped Ponytail, we've had fun trying other styles with this braid. Since Goose has such long hair these days, we thought we'd add not just 1, but 2 of these pretty braids on the right side of her head. I probably could have added a 3rd, but didn't have enough time. Step 1: Start French braid Starting at the crown, start ... continue reading...
