No … I’m not telling you to zip it …. it is in fact a new little tool I’ve discovered!!
But first, if you have been on Facebook today, you know I have yet to hear from our Curlformers winner … so if you haven’t checked yet … go HERE to see if it is you. I have no way to contact the winner, as the blogger ID is blocked. So if I don’t hear back from her by tonight, unfortunately I will pick a new winner in the morning because I want the winner to be able to receive their Curlformers in time for Easter.
I haven’t done one of these “Tuesday Tips” for a while, but I just had to share this one because I thought it was pretty awesome.
Not too long back I was over on one of the non-hair related sites I stalk from time-to-time- Just a Girl, and she shared some things that she can’t live without. One of them is this thing called the Zip-It Tool. It intrigued me. Any of you ever heard of this thing before? Basically it is a fabulous way of unclogging your drains from all the hair and junk that might cause it to drain slow or be clogged without using chemicals.
I don’t know about you, but I’m sure most of us have had a slow draining sink or tub at one time or another, and especially with 3 girls there is plenty of hair that goes down the drain in their bathroom. So we do get a slow draining tub at times. So I went out and bought this cool thing. I got mine at Target. It cost me $3.99 I believe. It comes as a 2 pack and this is what it looks like: You hook your finger through the little hole and then shove the long jagged part down your drain and it pulls all the junk out. Rather icky, yes — effective? TOTALLY! And without all the nasty chemicals. Even better.
It’s a lot longer than this – but I couldn’t get the whole thing to fit well in the pictures. But this gives you an idea of how poky it is.
I’ll spare you a video or step-by-step pix on this — you can go to their website HERE — Zip-It Clean and see for yourself. Just a warning though — the videos are not for the faint of heart or those with a weak stomach! But if you are looking for a fairly inexpensive way to unclog your drains and do it without chemicals and not have to wait for those chemicals to work as they eat away down the drain – this tool was awesome. My drain wasn’t too bad but it still pulled stuff out and I can totally tell a difference. So if you’ve got a really clogged one, this would do wonders, I’m sure.
I’d love to hear if you’ve ever used this, or any feedback on the Zip It Clean Tool. It worked for us & I plan on buying them again when the need arises.
