Going back through the hundreds of hairstyles we’ve done over the past several years, one thing is for sure — we love braids! I also realized I’ve come up with a bunch of different variations and “twists” on regular ol’ “Pocahontas braids.” So I thought it’d be fun to share them all in one place! There were a few others I could have included in this post, but we’ll just stick with the good round number of ten! All of these are great for summer or a full day of play at school. See below the picture for the links! There’s no reason for any girl to just wear 2 braids like they did on Little House on the Prairie! 🙂
** Scroll down & below the picture are the names of each style & numbers that coincide with each one. Then just click on the name of the the hairstyle & it will take you to the tutorial! **
The names below coincide with the numbered pictures above – so just click on the tutorial of your choice and just say NO to “plain ol braids!”
1- Rubber Band Wraps & Flipped Braids
3- Triple Braided Pocahontas Braids
8- Braids Pulled Through a Beanie
9- Tween Braids
10- Double Braids into Pocahontas Braids
If you haven’t already, we hope you’ll try some of these out and share pix with us on our Facebook page!

I’m new to Pintrest and wonder why, when talented people, like you, post something like this, you don’t show us how to duplicate and MAYBE (?) get similar results. I want to know how to do some – um, no all – of these 🙂

Hi! Scroll down past the image and every single hairstyle has a link. That’s what my blog is all about…step by step hairstyles. Or click on the tab on the top of my blog for my hair gallery….there you will find hundreds of hairstyles with tutorials! Hope that helps!

LoL! I am so glad she posted that comment. Doh! I was thinking the same thing. Then after your comment Mom, I was able to see that we click on each hair styles title . So awesome. Tried all of these. Number nine is so easy and looks so awesome. My favorite! No way I would have figured that out without the instructions. It looks like a knotted braid or something!

Glad you figured out how to get to the tutorials. I’ve updated my post so it’s maybe a bit more clear as to how to find each one! Sorry for the confusion!

It does say “click on the tutorial of your choice” I guess I just got so excited that I missed it. So funny.
