This 'do is something that "came" to me forever ago, but because I've felt so lousy lately I just havn't had the energy to do it. I finally tried it once on Bee and "tweaked" it a little bit when I did it on Bug. So the pictures you'll see come from both attempts, because some turned out better in one shoot than another - so I apologize that the head shots may switch between the two of them! Start by parting the hair smack down the middle from the forehead back to the nape of the neck. Don't ... continue reading...

Elegant French Twist Updo & Giveaway
We were feeling extra fancy a couple weeks ago and I'd also been sent that gorgeous red flower in the picture above (more on that in a bit) that I wanted to try out, so we came up with this beautiful updo fit for any wedding, formal school dance, or really any time you want to have some really elegant hair! Begin by parting the hair out on the top of the head - from the temples straight back and around the back of the head. Basically the area that you'd make a little "spout" on a baby when they ... continue reading...
Braids Pulled Through a Beanie
Hopefully you are all pretty much ready for Halloween since it's just a few days away. Thankfully I am, but for some reason I am feeling a bit stressed about it this year. I don't know why but I just am! Just a reminder that if you still need a last minute hair idea - you can go HERE to see the ones we've got! I don't know that I've ever posted anything using one of these darling beanie hats - but lately this beanie from All Things Ribbon has been a fav at our house. Goose's head is way too big ... continue reading...
Barbie “Bangs” with Overlaying Twists
This was a fun one that I tried first on Bee and went back and redid to take step-by-step pictures, but did it on Goose instead. She was all excited about this one because she thinks the twists look like cursive "E's" - which she is currently learning in school, along with a bunch of other cursive letters! No matter what you call it, this was a fun one & it is pretty easy too. Start by making a side part on the right side of the head. Then part the hair from ear to ear over the top of the ... continue reading...
Elegant Half Updo – Loops & Twists
I got an e-mail a couple weeks back from one of my readers, requesting a style for her homecoming dance that is this next weekend. As I've stated before, it's always tough trying to come up with a style that will be "the right fit" for the person requesting the style. I don't know most people's personalities and face shapes, etc. For this request all I know is that her hair was about shoulder length & not overly thick. So my hope with this style, is that regardless of length or thickness - ... continue reading...
