As promised, although I'm cutting it close, I said I'd get one last hairdo posted before Christmas came. I figured I'd do a bit fancier/prettier one, seeing as I always want my girls to look extra "done up" when we've got holiday parties and such going on! I think this one is really pretty & can be done on pretty much anyone of any age. Plus, it looks fancy and isn't hard! If you can use a curling iron - you can do this hairdo! I started by making a bit of a zig-zag part in Bug's hair ... continue reading...

Something with a Scarf – Day 7
Ok, for starters, I soooo did not want to post this --- especially for the last day of all this fun. I wanted to go out with a bang - and this isn't the bang I had wanted. I had some other stuff in mind, but timing wise and due to some unforeseen circumstances things didn't work out, and so I'm kinda bummed to end this wonderful week with this post. I'm almost embarrassed, but I couldn't leave ya'll hanging, and I still have a fun giveaway ... so hopefully you won't be too disappointed. (I know ... continue reading...
4 Fancy Schmancy Buns
A while back I mentioned I'd gotten a post from one of my readers - Amy, from Clouse Cousins Cookin'. Over a month ago she sent me a darling do that was done on her niece and I've been meaning to share it, but was waiting on a video she'd she'd sent me. Unfortunately I had issues with it downloading and whatever else comes along with not knowing everything about computers, so you only get pictures. Sorry. I think it's pretty self-explanatory and I know I've seen similar things on other blogs, ... continue reading...
Fishbone Braid Randomness
This one was definitely one of randomness & I didn't know where I was going with it. Most of the time I have a thought of where I'm taking a do when I begin, but this was one I did without knowing where it would end up. So ignore the imperfections and just "work with me here!" But first, just a reminder, if you were wanting to share any of your fun Halloween hair ideas, don't forget to send them by this Sunday 11/9 so I can get them posted shortly thereafter! I normally work with her hair ... continue reading...
Rope/Twist Braid – French Style
I'm sure there is a "real" name for this, but since it is done like a rope/twist braid and a French braid (adding in from each side) that's what I'm calling this one! I'd call it a French twist, but anything and everything I looked at with that name didn't resemble what I did here - so oh well! I figured it'd be easiest to show you in video format how to do this one - so hopefully I make sense by what I show you. Ignore Bug's "tired" comments, the nice "backdrop" for this one and the messiness ... continue reading...
Tips on Using Bobby Pins & Videos
I have had several e-mails or comments about how to use bobby pins, or the ability to get them to stay in hair. I realized I use them in A LOT of my hair styles, so I thought it'd be helpful to some of you if I were to show you some of the ways I use them and some tips to help them stay put. Hopefully from this, you'll find that besides just putting them in a bun, they are very useful. My husband thought I should give a history of the bobby pin (since he is soooo knowledgeable about this type ... continue reading...
