Several weeks back, I posted a hairstyle I'd quickly done on Bee one morning (pictured on the left). It's a quick & simple style, but the response was overwhelming on how many people liked it, as well as several people asking how exactly I did it. While I deemed this one to be pretty straight forward, it was a good reminder that everyone is on different levels of what they can do with hair. So ladies, for those of you that asked, this is how we did it! However, I did mix things up a ... continue reading...

4 Twists to a Braid
I don't know about you, but for as many years as we've been getting kids off to school in the morning, it always seems like we somehow are running short on time, despite getting up on time! If that's the case for you too, you'll love this style. It's quick & easy. If you can twist hair, and do a simple braid, you can do this! No major hair skills required which is always a bonus! ;-) Here's our video to see how we do it, or the step-by-step follows. If you can't view the video here, ... continue reading...

The Braid Twist Ponytail Combo
This cute style is one for a day of play, school, or sports. We used to do these types of styles a lot when the girls were younger, and quite frankly I miss them a bit! Bee is only 8 so we figured we could still get away with this type of style still on her - but probably not for much longer! ;-) This one isn't complicated, it just takes a bit with the parting and making the little ponytails - at least for me. I really like styles like this too, because you can change the look by doing a ... continue reading...
Woven Braids & Twists
I'm just loving today's tutorial. Probably because it was a style that lasted for 2 days! Nothing better than being able to get a second day out of a hairstyle! This one is great for summer, sports, school, or any time really. If you're working with hair that is long enough to cross across the back of your head, this style will work. It's great for toddlers clear up to school age girls like Bee who's 8. This style was inspired by Shelley @prettylittlebraids on Instagram and we changed it ... continue reading...
Double French Rope Twists
This style is actually from our 2011 archives, and depending on how long you've followed us, you might recognize it. At the time I'd only posted final pictures of the hairstyle because it was Bee's hairstyle she wore on her first day of Pre-School. Wow, how time flies! Despite this being from several years ago, it continues to be pinned a lot and people continue to ask how it is done. I did a brief explanation with the few pictures I'd posted back then, but figured it was time to recreate it ... continue reading...
