As my hair is oh-so-slowly getting longer, it's been fun to start attempting a thing or two that I've done in the girls hair to my own. Granted, I am miles away from the length of their amazing hair, but still it's been fun to try new things now and then. One being our messy buns. My hair isn't long enough to warrant our "long hair messy bun method" and probably never will be - but I wanted to share these two great versions again because they work for pretty much any length of hair - even ... continue reading...

7 Little Ponies Hairstyle
We recently were at our State Fair and as the girls were riding one of the rides, I saw a little girl about Bee's age sporting this hairdo. She had bright rubber bands in it and she had beautiful long dark hair. It looked so cute. I love this one because if you've got a baby with enough hair or a toddler this will work great too. Nothing hard here, just parting things out takes the time. Part out 1 small ponytail at the top center of the head. Don't make the square of hair too big ... continue reading...
March 2010 Hair Share
I know I've been slacking in my monthly hair shares, and I've meant to get one posted over the past several weeks. Then I got a ton of pictures from one fabulous hair doing lady named Jami that made me remember it'd been a while since I did a hair share post. So as I got looking back through my old e-mails, I realized I had a lot more hair share pictures than I thought. So I apologize to all of you who sent me pictures and it's taken me so long to get these posted. These first ones come from ... continue reading...
Toddler Version – A Fancy Row of Ponytails
I guess when you get down to it, you might think that this is just "glorified puffy braids," but after I got done, it really reminded me of one of my favorite hairdo's I did forever ago when I'd first started my blog. If you've been around from the beginning, or have gone back through my archives, you might remember THIS 'do. It wasn't puffy ponies - or whatever you call them, but for the toddler version - that's what I had to do. Sorry - I forgot to take a picture of the left side of her ... continue reading...
Toddler French Braids
First off, I've got to pat myself on the back, as I feel like I've finally got a hang of French braiding. Gasp - yes, I have a hair blog and I've stunk at French braiding (at least in my opinion!) I mean, I could do it, but I never really like how things turned out. But with practice, I've gotten better. And as the old adage says - practice makes perfect! I still am not the queen of braiding, but I'll actually let the girls go out of the house sporting one of my braids now! :) For this one, ... continue reading...
Crown of Curls Hairstyle
This turned out much different than I thought it would, because I forgot how long Bee's hair has gotten. I had wanted a more " fun/playful - spunky/punky" look when I had thought this out in my head, but in the end I think it turned more on the pretty and more formal end of the spectrum - maybe a bit too grown up for her little head - but pretty all the same! That's not bad - but if her hair had been shorter, it probably would have turned out more the way I'd envisioned. I'm still going to seek ... continue reading...
