We hope everyone had a great weekend. I just wanted to let everyone know that we are extending the length of the Blogoversary giveaways due to some issues our Rafflecopter widgets were having over the weekend and they were not working. There were some major storms back East and it made their servers go down, along with Netflix, Pinterest and others. So to be fair to people that tried to enter and couldn’t, we’re extending the giveaway closing date. They will run through 11:59pm on 7/4/12 and I’ll announce the winners on Thursday 7/5/12. Sorry for any inconvenience that caused. Those storms must have been crazy to make such major servers go down!
Also, just a reminder if you’re looking for 4th of July hair styles to check out our awesome flags we did last year! They are fabulous & you can’t get much more patriotic than that! 🙂 Head over HERE to see the tutorials on them.
And lastly, I wanted to share with you a great way one of our readers stores her rubber bands & keeps them so nice & organized.
Rachel, from A Nest Full of Eggs blog shared with me her solution to keeping all her rubber bands in one place and not having to fish them out of the baggies they come in. If you can’t get the rubber bands from Wal-Mart that come in containers that I’ve shared before, this is a fabulous idea!
Her 7-day stackable pill container cost her $4.99 + tax …

This part would be a great activity to have your little girl do! Color matching for the rubber bands to the container!
Once you’re done, they all screw back together nice & tight. No spilling and no mess! Then just unscrew the color you need when doing hair.
She also used a few other similar containers to store some of her tiny clips and thicker rubber bands. And then for bigger ponytail holders she used a small clear plastic container that was originally a baby food container. Genius! All of these would be so easy to toss into your bag when on vacation and you won’t have to worry about them popping open or getting every where.
Thanks so much Rachel for sharing your idea with us and letting us pass on your great idea! Be sure to check out all of Rachel’s creative ideas on her blog Nest Full of Eggs!
